Who are Heart of Bucks?

Heart of Bucks Community Foundation is a registered charity and part of a network of 47 Community Foundations across the UK. Heart of Bucks help to simplify, encourage and enable local giving and community philanthropy in Buckinghamshire.

What does Heart of Bucks do?

Heart of Bucks works in partnership with individuals, businesses and public sector organisations to award grants to grassroots charities and community groups that are helping improve the lives of local people. Heart of Bucks is one of the largest funders in the county. Since they launched in 2000, they have awarded over £20 million in grants to the local community. Their purpose is clear: they connect people who care, with local causes that matter.

About Molly Sissons of Heart of Bucks

Molly is delighted to be part of an organisation that makes such a difference and supports and strengthens the local community. She is keen to help businesses make an impact regardless of size and build long lasting partnerships that really matter.

Outside of work, Molly has always had a passion for the National Children’s Choir. She joined as a chorister aged 9 and had the privilege of going on several tours, including America & Canada and Italy. Following being a chorister, Molly was a pastoral staff member on the residential courses for 9 years and then went onto become a Trustee.

What do you most enjoy about business networking?

I really enjoy meeting new people and discovering new possibilities through networking. Every conversation has the potential to uncover collaborations, partnerships, or ideas I may not have considered before. It is exciting to know that a simple introduction can evolve into something impactful!

Why did Heart of Bucks join that networking group?

Heart of Bucks joined That Networking Group to build meaningful local connections and become more actively involved in the business community. Being part of a dedicated group allows us to strengthen relationships with other professionals, increase our visibility, and exchange valuable knowledge and referrals. It also provides a supportive environment where we can share ideas, learn from others’ experiences, and explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
