Meet our Member – Buckingham Hearing Care
This article provides a welcome introduction and overview of that networking group member – Buckingham Hearing Care. We are delighted to welcome them to the group and to share their story with the local business and wider community of Buckingham and the surrounding areas.
Who are Buckingham Hearing Care?
Buckingham Hearing Care is an independent audiology clinic serving Buckingham and the surrounding area. Led by highly experienced, HCPC-registered audiologist Amberly Moffat, the clinic offers a genuinely personal, expert hearing care service for both adults and children — covering everything from routine hearing health checks and ear wax removal through to specialist tinnitus management, hearing aid fittings, and the diagnosis of complex hearing conditions.
What sets Buckingham Hearing Care apart is the depth of clinical expertise the team brings. Unlike a standard hearing aid dispensary, Amberly is a fully qualified audiologist with a background spanning NHS hospitals and private practice, and holds specialist qualifications in areas that are rare in this region.
The clinic operates from its main base at Stowe Castle Business Park in Buckingham, with additional clinics held at North End Doctors Surgery in Buckingham and Place Eight Wellness in Swanbourne, as well as home visits for those who need them. Appointments are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with extended hearing care assistant hours on Thursdays and Fridays.
Meet the Buckingham Hearing Care team
Amberly Moffat — Independent Audiologist
Amberly is the founder and lead audiologist at Buckingham Hearing Care. She holds a BSc (Hons), a Postgraduate Certificate, and is registered with both the RCCP and the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council). Her 17-plus years of experience span NHS hospital roles — including positions as local manager, senior audiologist, paediatric audiologist and lead audiologist — as well as private practice.
Amberly’s clinical scope is broad and impressive. She can diagnose, treat and monitor all levels and types of hearing loss for both adults and children, and provides rehabilitation and counselling for hearing loss for individuals and their families. As a recognised Tinnitus UK expert, she offers specialist assessment, management and rehabilitation for those affected by tinnitus.
She is currently undertaking a masters in Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) — a condition that affects the way the brain processes sounds, and which is often misdiagnosed or overlooked entirely.
Amberly takes a genuinely patient-centred approach. In her own words, the patient she is treating is not just an ear — their lifestyle, preferences and individual circumstances are considered at every stage of their care.
Stacey Trundley — Practice Administrator
Stacey is the first point of contact for most patients and is the welcoming face of the clinic on arrival. She has personal experience of hearing impairment, which gives her a thoughtful and empathetic understanding of what patients are going through. Stacey ensures every patient’s experience is as smooth and reassuring as possible from the very first interaction.
Oliver Collins — Hearing Care Assistant
Oliver is the newest member of the team. A fully qualified hearing care assistant, Oliver sees patients on Mondays and Tuesdays for microsuction ear wax removal, hearing assessments and hearing aid repairs. He has quickly become popular with patients for his patient-focused, unhurried approach to care.
